 | Robert Rodriguezs Predator Reboot has a Release Date | |
Synopsis/Description:
The Predator will kick otherworldly ass it seems in the reboot that Robert Rodriquez is doing for the upcoming Predator remake. Good friend of mine Richard pointed out to me that LatinoReview had a good quote from Robert on his plans for the remake. He says quote;
What I'd like to do with it is expand on ideas I dreamt up back in the original treatment, that had really expanded on the universe both the Predators and other species live in. We'd create new otherworldly characters while not taking away from the draw our main Predator has. I think another reason I called it Predators was to mark it as a project that should be taken seriously by a film-maker to make a worthy follow up to a classic, much in the way Cameron made Aliens a compelling work on its own, following Ridley Scott's Alien.
I know that alot of you despise remakes and I am one of those who hates LAME ass cash in remakes. Case and point Prom Night. Good remakes like Halloween deserve to be judged on their merits, not just trashed for being a remake and I am hoping the Predator remake/reboot kicks some serious ass. As noted earlier its going to be a brand new trilogy of films. Of course Robert is very busy with alot of projects preparing to go ahead including SinCity 2 this fall and Machete this spring so who knows when this project will actually see the light of day.
